The success of Stockholm is an integrated and holistic view of city planning, close ties between public institutions, private enterprises, and the academy, in combination with stringent regulation. Our long-term goals are to be fossil-free and climate-positive by 2040. Here in Stockholm, tech meets sustainability, and the city manages to grow its GDP and decrease emissions at the same time.

The Nordic capitals are joining forces at the Smart City Expo. The cities of Helsinki, Oslo and Stockholm share a stand, as well as being part of the Nordic & Baltic pavilion. We are at the fair to discuss issues that provide additional knowledge and exchange for our green transition, between the three capital cities, as well as with other cities, organisations, and companies.

We aspire to find additional input and knowledge, for further work in becoming a climate-neutral city. Among other things, we will engage in issues relating to circular construction, sustainable mobility and electrification, and the resilience of cities.
