Tampere University of Applied Sciences TAMK is a multidisciplinary, international higher education institution located in the Tampere Region in Finland. TAMK delivers both high-quality education and practical applied research, development and innovation activities always conducted in close collaboration with partners outside of academia. Specific focus is set on collaboration with SMEs and smaller business entities. In addition, TAMK invests resources in active regional development activities e.g. by employing regional ambassadors to facilitate the continuous dialogue between the municipalities, business entities and civil society not only in the City of Tampere but across Tampere Region.

As regards Smart Cities and Regions, we focus on topics related to green and responsible logistics, renewable energy sources, energy efficiency in buildings and Positive Energy Districts including energy communities, new business models, and citizen engagement & Living Labs. We always engage our SME and other local or regional stakeholders in our piloting and demonstration actions. We excel in capacity building, training and deployment of new innovations and solutions to maximise their impact.

We look forward to meet stakeholders and partners from private and public sectors interested in improving knowledge valorisation across borders by effective and efficient demonstrations and experimentations in real-life contexts in cities and rural areas.
